Final-year University of Cumbria student Teri Hardy has picked up a special award in recognition of the impact she has made on a growing global science and technology competition for children. Royal Navy veteran Teri, 31, received her own trophy during the inaugural Carlisle regional final of the FIRST LEGO League challenge held at the university’s Fusehill Street campus. 100 pupils from 10 schools took part.

From today (27 Jan) students at the University of Cumbria have access to an online community to support their mental wellbeing whilst they are studying. The university is also offering the free online support package from multi-award winning digital mental health and wellbeing service Big White Wall to its 1,000-strong workforce across Cumbria, England’s North West and in London.
